The Value of a Good Designer

Because it’s so hard to measure the business value of good designer, they naturally gets less attention from managers. It’s easier to watch things like visitors to a website, sales per day, rent and other costs.
Businesses succeed and fail regardless of how well designed their media is. A business with an ugly media will succeed if their product or service is good, And, in return it’s not difficult to find examples of businesses with beautiful media but no business. Businesses with that fail because the product or service they’re providing just isn’t good enough.
Unless you can really compete on price you better find another way to differentiate yourself. And that’s where a designer becomes important.
The real point isn’t that a designer will give you just a great logo, it’s that good designer will help your business be even more successful. Whenever there is competition, especially competition offering a product with the same feature set as yours, design becomes important. A cohesive design campaign can and will make a difference.
