Folds

Accordion Fold

A bindery term for two or more parallel folds that result in a sheet that opens like an accordion; Parallel folds in a print piece, each folding in the opposite direction than the one before it so that the entire piece folds and unfolds like an accordion.

French Fold

Two folds at right angles to each other.

Gate Fold

A sheet that folds where both sides fold toward the gutter in overlapping layers.
